Personal Trainer

Biography:

Bob has been in fitness for 17 years and is a certified Personal Trainer (National Strength and Conditioning Association). He is also a certified Water Fitness Instructor (U.S. Water Fitness Association), Z-Health Movement Re-education Specialist, and Z-Health Integrated Movement Specialist. Bob teaches Pilates Mat, Parkinson’s Group, and Aquacise classes. Personal Training and Aquatic work are available as personal training sessions. Bob specializes in programming for members who have had a joint replacement or suffer from osteoporosis.

Bob attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, earning a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a concentration in sports medicine. He subsequently acquired a master’s degree in athletic training from the University of Arizona. His first job in the field was at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA, where he served as an athletic trainer and part-time instructor. He worked there until June 2001 before he began working at Rossmoor. Bob’s personal philosophy is; “When you give out for someone, you get back so much more.”

Goals for clients: “To help clients understand the process of physical improvement, the importance of hard work, proper recovery and the growth process. To improve their ability to perform daily activities with greater ease and less pain.”
